Belfast Children’s Festival

Belfast Children’s Festival is not just for the young, but also the young at heart with local, national and international performances and events to entertain, surprise and delight.

At Young at Art, we believe our great arts experiences are for everyone, so whether you’re 8 weeks old or 108 years old, enjoy our festival fun!

Other Events & Activities

Throughout the year, Young at Art continues to provide exceptional arts experiences for children and young people through a variety of engagement projects with key partners and standalone events, including our much-loved Baby Rave.

We are open to hearing from organisations who would like us to partner with them on such projects or who would like to have Baby Rave in their area. More information on Baby Rave is here.

Contact our Creative Producer if you would like to chat to us about how we can work together.

Education & Engagement

Young at Art is dedicated to enriching the lives of children in Northern Ireland through the arts.

Our Education & Engagement Programme delivers a range of projects and initiatives to connect children and young people to the arts and ensure quality arts engagement is accessible to all, building confidence, imagination, critical thinking skills, and resilience.

Professional Development

We work with arts, education and business professionals and organisations to put children and creativity at the heart of what they do. We have set out how we do this below. If you would like YAA to work with you, contact Link to Contact us form. If you are a student or young person who is interested in developing your career in the arts, we provide internship, placement and work experience opportunities. Contact us to find our more. Festival Industry Programme – Our Industry Events programme at Belfast Children’s Festival each year covers a range of symposiums, talks, discussions and networking events for professionals. CPD Training Programme – Young at Art delivers a year-round programme of professional training courses for both freelance artist facilitators and teachers. We offer three CPD courses for teachers, All About Play (Drama) All About Tales (Storytelling) and All About Art (Visual Art). Contact us here.
